Discipleship Development
Wednesday Evening Zoom Study
Pre-sermon study series
Join Pastor Marilyn as she teaches on the text(s) for worship this coming Sunday. Explore some of the literary and historical context of the passage, and join with others in discussing the text’s meaning and its application in our lives today. For more information about this week’s study and the Zoom link, check our Facebook Page or the Church Calendar.
Children’s Bible Study:
Most Thursday afternoons (e-mail or check the church calendar for the most up-to-date schedule) Pastor Marilyn leads a Bible study with children of the church in grades 2nd-7th. They currently use the curriculum “Jesus and His Followers,” published by GenOn Ministries, exploring stories about Jesus’ life and his disciples. If you have a child in 2nd-7th grade, or near that age-range, and you would like more information about the study, please use the contact form below.
Monthly Sunday School Class
Subversive Sabbath Study
Once a month we will meet at 10:00am in the Parish House Fellowship Hall at 10:00am to discuss a chapter from the book Subversive Sabbath by A. J. Swoboda. Although it will be helpful to have read the chapter, it will not be necessary to have ready any of the book in order to participate in this Sunday school class.
Quarterly Wednesday
Book Club
As I Lay Dying, by William Faulkner and The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek, by Kim Michele Richardson have been selected for discussion. Anyone is welcome to participate, even if you haven’t read the books. For book club meeting details, contact us using the form below.
